the first of many lookbacks at 2008

20 things that made 2008 awesome!

1. mexico beaches. getting to see mexico from the beach and watch the waves crash on a different shore while reflecting on my first missions trip was awesome.
2. ministry tour inside jokes. you smell like dora. “if i had wings i would fly…” best trip ever!
3. summer camp prayers. praying for coral, sav, christian, kayloni, lorel, everyone. it was the first time i had ever really done something like that, and it was amazing.
4. my “internship” at brimhall. and, yes it needs quotations. it’s a pseudo internship and completely complicated. but, it is also one of the best experiences of my life.
5. gaining new friendships.
6. understanding my current friendships and why they are in place.
7. expanding old friendships into something great.
8. growing my extended family.
9. finding my other half.
10. finding AMAZING new music:
    - mayday parade.
    - family force 5.
    - addison road.
    - jonas brothers.
    - planetshakers.
    - run kid run.
    - oh, sleeper.
    - spoken.
    - and so much more.
11. starting this blog. i am so happy that i decided to share my thoughts on everything here. =)
12. finding awesome organizations to follow. staying faithful to others.
    - to write love on her arms (twloha).
    - invisible children.
    - charity: water.
13. understanding that my calling is to youth ministry.
14. finding my other families. the grasinger family, cornelison family, and the lucas family. i am so grateful that they saw fit to “adopt” me.
15. my bestie getting married!
16. getting to be in three weddings: melissa & craig. alisha & luke. jenn & garret.
17. reuniting with some taftie friends. i missed them, so. and this year, we became even better friends. i love them.
18. having three friends (baby brother jeffrey, other half lorel, taftie andy) become part of the armed forces.
19. getting to live with two of my closest friends, live with my mom, live with my dad, live on my own, and live with the two coolest older cousins ever in the same year! i know, i move like crazy.
20. getting to meet alan & dorothy graham. the people who changed my life. i can’t wait to see them come july.
